PDRC announces training in commercial arbitration


The Philippine Dispute Resolution Center (PDRC) is inviting participants to its 13th Commercial Arbitration Training Seminar (CATS) on August 14 to 18, 2017 at the IPOPHL Multi-Purpose Hall, G/F, Intellectual Property Center, 28 Upper McKinley Road, McKinley Hill Town Center, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The training will equip participants with knowledge and skills in resolving commercial disputes through arbitration. In addition to lectures by recognized experts in the field of commercial arbitration, the training will include practical exercises on the various aspects of commercial arbitration and a mock arbitration. A guest speaker will also introduce the participants to international commercial arbitration.

Those who will pass the written assessment to be given immediately after the training will be included in the roster of PDRC-trained arbitrators.

The seminar fee is PhP30,000.00 per participant, inclusive of meals and training materials. Those who will register and pay the training fee before July 07, 2017 will be entitled to an early bird discount.

  1. Is a PDRC trained arbitrator qualified to be a corporate arbitrator already? No need to be accredited by any body or institution in the country, just like a construction arbitrator needs to be accredited by CIAC?
